Don't care about TRCR locals. Their track lends a lot of setup advice here too......

really diggen that modified battery tray as I plan to only run shorties and hate all the electronics jammed up front with wires everywhere. How is he doing battery hold down now?

Plenty of people run them in stock locally, I would just say go for it if you want to run mid motor. This might just be in my head, but It really seemed like the buggy came to life when I upgraded to the aluminum topshaft, and got some of the other lightened parts. Honestly mid motor is much more fun for me to drive personally, though I was late to the party as far as mid motor goes lol.

Frustrating day at the track today. Indoor clay track was damp in some sections, dry in others. Me and the Centro driver (only two mid motor cars) were frustrated with how inconsistent our cars were. The rear motors appeared to be able to better negotiate the different conditions. Last week the track was a uniform dampness and my car was on rails. Anyone have any suggestions how to setup these mid-motors for the varying conditions?
