The rear motor thread seems to be more popular
The rear motor thread is filled with:

"Why doesn't it have any aluminum?"

"Why are the shock caps plastic?"

"Why are the shock shafts uncoated?"

"Why aren't the hexes aluminum?"

"Why can't I run my full-size stick pack?"

"When is the Factory Team edition going to be released?"

Don't believe me? Go see for yourself.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I'm about to unsubscribe to the thread.

That's what I thought! Although I love the Yokomo B-Max2MR (give it a try and you will understand), I really like the look of the Yaiba and Avid parts on my SC10.

I remember when people used to buy the cheapest kit so they could do their own chosen mods. Times have certainly changed.

Because now you don't have to do mods. You can build it from the box and race it.

I know of one track in my area that runs carpet, I don't know of any within 100 miles of me that runs astro. Also, I should quantify my original post, I was speaking of US tracks. MM just isn't "yet" as popular around here because we usually run on dirt not carpet or astro.

However more and more tracks are going to great lengths to bring up the traction so people can run MM. More dirt, more clay, more sugar, more laundy soap, more water, more steam rollers, more grandmas secret sweet tea mix........My thing is if you're going to work that hard at it just put in carpet and be done with it.
