No bc they want people to buy them.
Just trying to inform everyone the reasons the Finnisher is the best choice.
I could care less what the shell looks like.
All I care about is the performance .

Looks do nothing for going faster laps...

Good luck with style as your reasons for choosing.

Anyone care to share what ESC settings they are running on a LRP SXX for mod buggy (9.5)?

Also what about ESC settings for a 17.5 buggy?

Never really messed with the settings before but figured I might as well.

What is the difference in lap times between the two bodies(Silencer and Finnisher) and where are the date results posted on this scientific analysis?

I'm just playing...mostly.
Ive tried building a scale wind tunnel with 30 mph fans, but could never get consistent results since the scales were not isolated well enough in the turbulence created by a 1/10th buggies design.

Imagine an F1 car with a 2.5 foot high flat faced shock tower sticking up in front.

On the track it is hard enough getting consistent laps within .5 second of each other with no changes.

Just having fun with an age old topic that i've beat to death trying to see if its real or mental, but can't tell so far.

And so it begins with 20 pages about aerodynamics of 1/10 scale bodies. Until I see scientific and wind tunnel testing as WED pointed out, it's all aesthetics. To me, Finnisher is a good looking body and Silencer is second. If you think one performs better than the other, it's all placebo effect.

Wed
its not that difficult to switch back & forth while at practice.

You don't need a wind tunnel.
The shape or design of the shell does affect the performance & feel .

Anyone can feel the wind generated by these cars passing by indoors.

The car has to move a lot of air when speeding along the track.

Wild Cherry, I have been racing on and off since 1985 and this argument/discussion isn't new.

Just still amazes me when full size off road cars haven't changed bodies in years for an advantage.
