looking at the b5 the turnbuckles are imperial 2.06"
can you use a 3mm turnbuckle wrench i.e. hudy
or fo i need to swap them for a metric turnbuckle i.e. 3 racing?

Why is there so much talk about changing the turnbuckles? Are they weak n need to be replaced? If so, I better order mine before I build my kit.

You should read some more, its been explained a lot so far.

I will summarize for you: some people are having a hard time adjusting camber due to the ballcups/turnbuckles being too tight. The turnbuckles can be seen as a little too long and thread too far into the ballcup. That's why people are going with the B4 turnbuckles as they are shorter (and also happen to be titanium, instead of steel).

I think I covered that pretty well...

For 17.5 blinky, is the gearing going to be the same as the B4? I haven't raced a buggy in about a year and I just want to be sure I'm in the ballpark.

Orange barcodes all around.

I also have .25 FT ae stick on weight on the servo because I was under weight at our last race.
JCozz, Cheers. Only difference now, is that I have a Black front spring. When this was posted I was running Green.

Should be the same, I believe the B5 tranny is the same ratio.

Celt, yes it does. It seems the 50 Page turnbuckle debate in the B5RM thread made its way here.

It is the same ration... it is listed in the manual where the gearing recommendations are...

Same, I changed because I went from a Novak to a reedy 17.5. Was at 69/34 went to 72/33 with the Reedy 38* timing. The Novak seemed like you can push it harder with gearing and more timing.

What battery options are there for the B5? Is the square reedy pack the best option?
