Thanks, I was wondering if you were going to do that or not.

If you use a shorty lipo on a C4.2, you can move it just enough to the side opposite the motor to create the same kind of balance a motor centering kit would provide. It seems to be the difference between landing on two wheels or 4 wheels off a lot of jumps.

As much as I like my centro, I am torn and will have to see the B5s killing them in the MM runs on our track before I go and get one. As far as the RM goes however, I will be selling and recycling some funds.

Question for the engineers.. Are the arms the same length as the B4? What about the distance between the inner hinge pins, narrower, wider, same?? Just curious.

lol, are you trying to see if the arms can be made to fit the b4? or vice verse?

The direct answer to the question as asked is most likely yes in all case since AE has essentially standardized their arm length and shock mounting points on the arms going back to the B3. However that doesn't mean that a heftier new arm will have the clearance to mount to a B4 bulkhead or that the hinge pin sizes are the same. They could all technically be the same in regards to those arm dimensions but still not fit.

Clearance issues are easily mitigated with a light touch of the dremel. It would be sweet to see some of the new gullwing arms on a B4. The only thing that might complicate the experiment would be if the B4 caster block will fit? Isnt that an area that got a major facelift?

Doubtful that the B5M will would "kill" the centro.....

I heard from an AE guy that the b5 is faster than the centro and b5m is even faster.

hahaha the father of the cousin of my friends sister said that his serpent is faster than a b5m

... thats extremely vague and generic... under what conditions with who driving? I think the c4.2 is doing pretty well... your signature would lead one to believe that you are biased against centros

to me, the b5 Rm looks just like a b4 with metric hardware and a revised chassis. Plastic probably too. Of course the MM has new stuff in it. I think the geometry are about the same with improvements to tuning options. but, hey I and going off the pics, as I dont have a car yet.

yea dont get me wrong, i have a c4.2 and love it but I am also hoping the b5m is great but i dont think anyone at this point can say the b5 or b5m is faster than anything. AE guys are paid to say their stuff is the best.

I personally, dont like using conversions or last gen tech. So given equal performance, I would still run a b5m over the centro. Why? because my LHS will have all of the parts. I doubt they ever support the centro. It does suck that so many people bought the centro 2-3 months ago and now AE has a new car.
