Normally, you want to back off the throttle when landing with a tight slipper or eliminator but I have not had a problem stripping idler gears to date. The 17.5 does not have the torque of my 7.5 (strip idler gears frequently on my sc10) so probably not so critical to be off the throttle on landings.

I'm liking the aluminum hubs. The black ones have a really nice finish and they only added seven grams of weight to the buggy.

Still looks like moving your shocks to the lower holes will give you damn near the same thing with a lower CG.

Tried to install an Orion vortex 8.5 in my b5m and the shaft is hitting the gear cover......anyone just cut the shaft a little? I'm thinking taking the motor apart and using a cut off wheel to trim the end off. Any ideas???

You could just get longer screws for the motor cover and put a 2mm washer behind the gear cover.

i had amazing grip with b5r front arms, b5r front tower, and b5r rear arms reversed left/right tonight. now i just need to keep my pistons from blowing out the eclips.

is anyone shimming the 'space' out of the stock pistons? i tried this -- but i think i over did it as 3 of 4 blew the eclip right off tonight ..

That's not something you need to do.

Looks perfect! The shim is for the TLR users that may need it if they have a long topshaft. Sorry we left that out of the instructions, will fix it next time.

Have the Hard front end , arms & nose plate.

Adding the Hard rear tower & arms tomorrow.
Still can't get the Hard front tower.

Leaving chassis brace & tray plastic.

Wow, where do all my electronics and wires fit? Dropped right in the RM but with the MM, not so much. It's a bowl of spaghetti.

And, installed hard front camber, steering, RM tower, reg flat arms, and hard rear hubs and tower. Can't wait to drive it!
