I've been using Casper's thrust bearings with great success, I also just built my last diff with his grease.

And for Friday night club racing at OC_RC the B5 was in full effect, complete with spray bombed bodies everywhere.

I cant speak to the truth of any of this but all the AE guys at OC_RC were running there B5's tonight, except for when "PatioFurniture" Tunerman was running his RC10 worlds car in stock buggy

Since the b4.2 was released with aluminum bell cranks I think the b5 shouldve been too. I wonder if Brent's car has a jc or ae aluminum bell crank. The CF battery strap looks sweet too. Again, JC or AE?

The b4.2 was a factory team kit, big difference. The alum bell crank was also to replace the outdated and inconsistent old plastic bell crank with the servo saver. The B5 plastic version will be just fine.

If they would've included the alum steering it would've just cost more anyway...

The alloy part serves no purpose if the molded part is strong enough. Just adds weight to the car while removing it from the wallet.

Releasing this as a $249 Team kit instead of a $349 Factory Team kit is the smartest thing I've seen an R/C company do this decade, and they've all been doing pretty well (brush less, lipo, stronger stuff, holding prices in check..).

JC does not have any products for the B5 yet, in the works . All of those are Associated hop-ups.

well, I plan to wait for avid hexes. I was working on my one of my AE cars last night and one of the rear hexes is tightened all of the way....and the hex falls off. Plus black will look better. I just hope avid is not done with Coach gone
