I'm not but for stock you should when cranking the timing, but get a proper fan brace, most use these 3d printed ones from shapeway-

so I bought the b5/m package when the b6 was announced for 200$ and I was thinking about buying the b5mce conversion kit, but I think they may lower the price a lot to get rid of the extra inventory, do you guys think it will happen or am I just watching them go?

Does anyone have experience with rcshox garodisc slipper pads on high traction/astroturf? Are they worth it?

Even at $89 it's still a crazy good deal. Amain might have a sale for 4th of July though.

I just got my B5MFL kit, and I am getting ready to build it...what recommendations do you guys have to change/modify during the build process. My track is high bite clay, and I will be running stock 17.5.

Thanks in advance!

All titanium, JC front axles, light the diff, glue inserts, wing mounts, serrated wheel nuts, Schelle battery strap, X rings.

But it is awesome out of box.

Don't forget the grub screws in the hubs!

by "light the diff", do you mean make the diff lighter? Which wing mount is recommended?

Thanks again!

If your running mod, then no changes but stock, cut gears and pucks.

Wing mount, Schelle or Avid, I think Exotek has some now too.

I've been running my B5M, competitively, for 4 months with 0 aftermarket parts on my car until recently. I just swapped out my kit body for a JC S2 and it's great! Ditch the body clips and velcro your body to the chassis.

I 2nd the gluing of the trailing axle inserts and installing the grub screws in the steering c-hubs/rear hubs.
