Replacing my pucks and out-drives on my B5m for the first time this week. Been running the car for 8 months. About 7 packs a week. They still look in decent shape... but are starting to finally "show" wear, both the plastic and out-drives. I'm changing them before they start to adversely affect performance.

I use the 3M double sided tape to mount all my electronics. If you cut some small pieces and stick them in the chassis grooves it ends up close enough to level so that your ESC will stick down really well.

I used strategically placed, doubled up, double side tape in a couple areas so things would sit flat and secure.

Default AE hubs to Schelle ball locations

I took some measurements for myself of the stock AE hubs with 'A' and 'B' inserts to compare with Schelle hub locations. You can figure out how much to shim the Schelle upper to get a position close to an AE setup. Thought I'd share.

I always use 3M tape, never had a problem with something not sticking or coming undone in a race, yet its easy to get off and leaves 0 residue. Plus if you double pad it in the grooves of the chassis it will give your electronics better cushion during hard landings.

Tower shows it $10 cheaper. Weird.

Should not matter. Amain does not normally raise prices because tower is out of stock. Maybe they are charging a premium.

Which 3M tape specifically?

So, similar to the instructions provided by Schelle with the hubs, the two holes on their hub (we'll call Schelle A and B) are similar to the B and C hole positions in the stock AE hub, using the aluminum 'A' insert in the hub, in the 'up' position, with a 1mm, or if you have it, a .75mm shim, to get the stock hub position.

Seeing as how AE has it for 69.99...Amain is still a great price. Tower could have it for a dollar...they don't have any to sell.
