I concerned myself and spent a lot of time pulled over to let the leaders pass, who were fighting for series points. It wasn't a productive day. By the 3rd run I stayed out of the marshal's hands but I still lost lost a lot of time being overly courteous. It was also a case of not always being ahead of the car yet, so I wasn't all that confident going into a corner side by side either.

Pretty frustrating day. The car handled much better than it did during my Sportsman run but I was incredibly nervous and never pushed.

I think considerably more practice days should be had before I try to run in 17.5 Buggy again
While practice days are great nothing can replace race pace and the way you feel mentally when you hear the tone.

I've been running in both 17.5 and mod buggy with the same buggy(blinky 17.5) to gain more track time and race experience. This has helped tremendously and I was able to get 2nd in my 17.5 main. I was 3rd for a while in the mod buggy but a last lap incident pushed me back to 5th.

In my opinion once you work out the nerves and get your setup dialed you will find this car is a blast to drive and will go wherever you point it.

I'm pretty sure the chassis is the only difference between the Lite and the CE, weight wise. They both got titanium turnbuckles, aluminum front axles, and the 3 gear trans, which were not included in the original B5M kit.

It all depends on turnout...I haven't been on a Wednesday in a long time but when I did I would get out around 11-midnight. I would call them to see how its been lately.

Why did jco quit the honeycomb chassis? Was it breaking?

I was wondering that too. Seemed like the nice stiffness of the CE chassis with the light weight of the Lite.

The feeling I got was that they didn't quit...they are just sold out. I think they are awaiting more....I will ask and find out.

Edit...there is no plans to bring back the B5m chassis at this time.

Really? There is no B6 coming out... The B5 is maybe 2 years old and performing quite well, so why would they need to replace it already?
