Ordered some Barcodes in black and 2 SMC lipos this afternoon. Interested in how they work in cold weather like they claim..

Its very track dependant, one track that is 3 hours away from me uses them to great effect in winter.

What do you people use to clean the old oil out of the shocks? I was told to use brake clean but it seems a bit harsh for the seals. I'd like to get the old dirty oil out before refilling with fresh but don't want to pull the shafts right out to wipe the oil out from under the the piston
Nitro Motor Spray or equivalent - Auto Parts store or Walmart, etc... Electrical cleaner/spray - I know people use brake cleaner too or Fuel injector cleaner / throttle body cleaner, etc...

Guys got my B5M CE pretty decent on the carpet track. What benefit would adding weight to the front bulkhead 15g or 45g?

Even if I back off the screws until there's some slop it still isn't very smooth. Is this normal, or do I need to look into it some more?
Update:

I just had them too tight still. I loosened everything up and re-set the screws and everything is smooth now.

Default 17.5 Motor/ESC, help?

could anyone explain me the difference between 17.5 Tekin and RPM?

and the Tekin ESC between Gen2 RS and Gen 2 RS Spec?

there are combo order that come $50 difference.

i did considered Reedy 540-M3 17.5 motor which also come with "SS," too. but their ESC seem skyrocketing out of my budget.

any thoughts/feedbacks would be nice.

i plan to race it mostly in small-medium indoor clay track.

I ordered a set of ball cups from Amain and Amazon. I should get them in the next few days. I'll report back to say which ones, hopefully both, are good.

I have also ordered the titanium ball studs to see if they work better.

Such an awesome kit and car but a pain in the butt small part. I've tried all the tricks except for using toothpaste or some kind of rub on the ball studs.

I don't have an answer for you to your exact questions but I can say that a lot of people have preference. I have the Trinity D4 17.5 which has worked awesome but some others have had issues. I also use the Tekin RSX which has been excellent. My next motor will be the Fantom 17.5 which is like a version of the Trinity from what I've read.

I would find out what people are running at your track and what works best there.

Best of luck getting a great combo and killing it racing!

I have a reamer tool. It's called a Boto Sizer. It takes a small amount of material out of the cup. It works great.

if you have a new kit, contact ae about the "updated" cups. They sent me some, I just have not tried them yet.

I got my kit from tower in early January and have the tight cups. Seems maybe the most recent release had updated cups?
