The ESC they used in the pics is the new Reedy. It is based on the Hobbywing 3.1. The footprint is one of the larger out there (for racings ESC's). The MMP may have fitment issues due to it being long. You probably won't fit a 1/8 or Hobbywing SCT ESC in it, but you really don't want that extra weight anyway.

Plenty of room if you look closely the big dual cap is tucked behind the esc on the rear motor buggy.

Yes the standard lipo and the square are about the same weight.
I was referring to the displacement of the weight through out the car.
It's different than other rear motor cars. Will have to wait and see but the new chassis layout in interesting.

Yeah I wouldn't let the square lipo turn you away from this buggy like some have mentioned. You can still fit a shorty.
They are just trying to sell the Reedy line also if you can't tell from all the gear in the pictures.

I always preferred full size packs to shortys cause full size weighed more but looks like the square packs will be the new full size pack

You can in the b5m. The "square" or side by side saddle pack is actually a rectangle. A shorty pack will only fit into it's dimensions in 1 direction. For the rear motor car, this would put a shorty mounted length wise only & in the mid motor car cross ways, as pictured.

if you want more weight and dont want the square pack, you can easily run saddle packs

which can be run in any car that fits a full sized stick pack as well.

you say this, but in a b4.2 with a shorty and the esc in the tray, the weight distribution is within 95% the same.

or you can use their saddle packs too. im sure with alot of cars using saddles that dont need to be split, that more companies will jump on board.

Seems like someone in going to have to blow out the remaining stock, or is A/E taking them back to turn into RTR's?
