Just curious, does anyone know what difference there is between the regular (black) bearings and the new FT (blue) ones? Other than just being "better" somehow.

They have a metal shield on the other side for less drag. They are GREAT!

Thought of getting a B5M, but the standard kit is discontinued. The Lite edition looks good in all, but it seems to favor high bite track(we run on dusty/dirt) Should I just wait for B6M/B5.1M that I hear rumors about?

Are the fast guys buying bearings with two rubber shields and just taking them both out (at least for the tranny)? That seems like the lowest friction bearing for areas without dirt.

I have a lite that has been great in 17.5 stock racing and just stepped up to mod. It has been been awesome with only a few setup tweaks and no extra weight at all. Here is Australia most of our tracks are outdoor low to medium grip at best too so didn't expect it to be as easy to setup as it has been

If I was buying a kit right now it is hard to go past the Championship Edition but you wont go wrong with the lite either.

Would a 4 gear transmission work better than 3 gear in a mid traction dusty track? B5m lite

I would lean towards yes. It puts a little more weight over the rear and and motor rotation helps. I would definitely give it a shot and its easy enough to change that it definitely can't hurt to try.

It could... Takes some of the snap out of the acceleration and gives you a little kinetic weight transfer on and off power.

Just finished my daughters CE build. Everything about it was awesome. Easy and straight forward. Got it all done and was going to get it set up for this weekend and...... I don't have any front wheels that fit this thing!!!

And yes... that is pink wire!

I have the same question. Also looking at a modern gen 2wd buggys and see a lot of them are built for high grip. Here in South Africa in my region we still need to build a track but we will only have a dry, med to low grip more than likely. We want to create an indoor track as well out of carpet for promotional purposes but I doubt one can can be adapted to all situations?
