I don't think the B5-RM will handle like a typical RM car.
I think it will be a right in between a rear motor and a mid motor platform.
With the square Reedy lipo coming in at 318 grams and pushed all the way forward this platform will act like both a RM & MM. You will have better corner speed over a typical RM but you will not be punished for getting a little out of the groove as you do on a MM.
I think this is a perfect buggy for someone that's not 100% consistent and maybe not ready to drive a MM on a med grip, bumpy, dusty track.
I would say this is a Tweener car between a RM & MM car.
I find it very interesting and think its a great move by AE because its not your typical rear motor platform.
I'm just wondering what Avid has in store for this buggy?

Thanks guys. Does that mean a 3mm turnbuckle works? TQ racing sells some that have the place where the wrench goes offset.http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=2658

it looks like a mix of kyosho and Durango but with more part support and at a cheaper price I looks good

Looks like you may be able to put a shorty long ways up front...or no?

Battery choices, seems that with the mid motor, you can run saddle packs or a shorty side ways but not front to rear like the rear motor car. Is this correct?

Only two things I don't like: the fat shorty, but saddles are widely available and cheap too so... and the front bulkhead could use a shim or pill to change kickup instead of different blocks. Other than that I strongly believe the B5 isn't much different in suspension geometry from the B4 so expect a very competitive buggy out of the box.

I'm a little worried about the footprint they have for the ESC and RX.
