I began to change them and found that the supposed 2s rotor does not fit either the bearings at each end of the motor.

I went on to Associated's site and there are many different rotors but no information on them.

The rotor that fits has written on it: Reedy Sonic s12.3 x 25.0. On the flat part of the shaft is the Associated id number for the rotor on the site which is 955.

Can anyone explain what is going on here?
Thanks, in advance.
John
Almost all Reedy rotors should have the part# engraved on the shaft. We have 954-958, Mach 1 and Mach 2 used the same rotors. M3 uses a new bearing size so the rotors are different, however they are not available separate yet, Part# 271-276.

Sean, thanks for your input. I have sent a note to Associated but have not heard back.
I am still left with the question: Is the motor I have with the 955 and Reedy Sonic s12.3 x 25.0 written on it a 2s motor or something else?
thanks,
John

All of the rotors can be used for 1s or 2s. That rotor is more of an RPM rotor, used for onroad. What turn is your motor?

Hi Wildcat.
Thank you! I was wondering about this because the motor was used for a road car. The previous owner is looking for the right one. It was a stressful time for the seller and things got muddled up.

In the back of my mind I was thinking that the cell count should not have anything to do with it. I had a Gaui x3 6s motor running on 4s.

He is going to get back to me shortly.

The kit has been out for a while. They are just done making the team kit. the team kit serves no purpose in the market.

you will want the 12.5 rotor for roar. That is more of an onroad rotor. Both will work for 1s and 2s. as far as the 12.5mm rotor not fitting, you might need to shim it. If you dont know how, I would run the 12.3mm rotor until you can get some help.

also, the stock rotor should have the number 956 on the shaft

They could use an updated factory team kit, kashima shocks and few other odds and ends. Right now the ft lite is really a team kit lite.

Huh. The team cars never come with ti turnbuckles or upgrades. Ft foes not mean every option part they make. The shocks and pidton might make it into the next updated car. But i doubt much else will

I see various post regarding different upgrades for the B5M FL kit. Are there any necessary upgrades? Upgrades that actually improve the car in some way? I am not a guy who necessarily cares for "bling" however, I don't mind spending for things that actually improve the car. Thanks in advance.

The Lite kit is very solid and nothing is really needed in my opinion. The one option I think is a big plus is the aluminum rear hubs. The only thing I have ever broke is the plastic rear hubs where the aluminum insert goes in.

The factory lite kit needs nothing out of the box. I always recommend a machined idler gear, and ceramic bearings, but they aren't mandatory.
