Running a 69/31 with a schuur speed 17.5. Same as I was using with my 4.2.

Actually the B5 v2 shafts are a larger diameter. Just took some calipers to mine, the b4.2's were 2.96 and the B5's were 3.15. I believe Kody noted that the shocks have better pack due to this and the new inserts they use (black ones) to keep the piston centered better.

kody posted on fb that any difference in shaft thickness are difference in tolerances and not design

? wonder why they make note of it then in the features of the new kits. Just better tolerances? The diameter difference between my b5 and b4.2 is scary then

With all the QC issues with the kits, I had better open up the box and inspect all the known problems at the shop before accepting the car.

Only problem I really had was a shock collar with a slightly messed up thread. Would be hard to catch.

Overall the fit and finish seemed pretty good, although the collars do seem cheaper than the old BB shocks.
