I would bet that Jason has them on his personal car for testing purposes

Ive studied that last pic which is Jason ruona's personal car and its hard to tell but it does look like he has the new axles. I'm also seeing carbon fiber front and rear shock towers and a new camber mount brace combo. Also he looks to be running a 4 gear trans

Pretty sure they are running the redworkshop low rider, On high grip im sure it will be great but on med grip im not too sure.

Digger I hope you will now put in more time with driving it stock or the setup you choose rather than chasing others setups.
Id spend a good chunk of time driving and keeping it wheels down first.
Tyres and track time. Absolutely NO offence intended.
+1

very cool track. some great elevation changes, good jumps, some wide areas to pass. would love to race on that track.

Anyone themselves or seen many running the Gear Diff in the Factory Lite?

Seen in a PDF from the AE webpage about the Roar Nats Cavalieri running them in the buggies and ball diffs in the trucks.

Is there a list anywhere of a B5 to B5m lite conversion? I have an old B5 lying around I don't drive, and will probably start racing 17.5 pretty soon.

Worked pretty good for him...I don't know what you're looking for. Unless you race on super high bite edgy clay then I would say look elsewhere.

OK, I took a shot at making a list based on comparing the B5 manual and the B5M factory lite manual:

B5M Factory Lite Chassis ASC91511
RC10B5M Chassis Plate ASC91512
RC10B5M "3 Gear" Gear Box ASC91607
Aluminum Factory Team "3 Gear" Motor Plate (Black) ASC91602Team Factory Team "3 Gear" Top Shaft ASC91606
RC10B5M "3 Gear" Gear Cover ASC91604
RC10B5M Chassis Cradle ASC91514
3x8mm Flat Head Screw (20) ASC25201
3x10mm Flat Head Screw (20) ASC25202
Aluminum Front Axle Set (2) ASC91411
3mm Locknut (20) ASC25215
RC10B5M Composite Arm Mount Set ASC91532
RC10B5M Rear Shock Tower & Camber Mount ASC91518
RC10B5M Wing, Body Mount & Bumper Set ASC91531
RC10B5M Aluminum Rear Ballstud Mount (Blue) ASC91520
3x18mm FHC Screws (10) ASC89209
Factory Team 5x10x4mm Bearings (4) ASC91560
RC10B5M Chassis Brace ASC91521
3x0.5x6mm Button Head Screw (6) ASC31531
Heavy Duty One Way Shim (8) ASC1733
Factory Team "V2" Slipper Hub Set ASC7485
3x10mm Button Head Screw (20) ASC25211
RC10B5M Battery Strap ASC91534

This doesn't include the HD axles, aluminum rear hexes or body. Not sure if you need all the screws and stuff either.

Right now this is showing up as $223 on Amain before discounts.

High grip requires slicks, medium requires a tire such as chainlinks, other treated tires, low grip needs pins.

You can pick up a conversion kit for somewhere in the $80 range

That's a B5 to B5M Heavy conversion though, right?

I just added up the parts. I think the conversion kit + chassis, 3 gear, motor plate is about $80, so you can get close for about $160. Still no titanium turnbuckles or HD axles that I forgot to include in the original list.

Seems like the cheapest option is to just sell the B5 for $100 or whatever and buy a new kit.
