Anyone know what the part number for the front axles Cavaleri had on his B5M ROAR winning buggy? I have the clamping hexes but need the axles.
Thanks

Does anyone run lighter oils than 32/30 in med to high grip? just curious.

Took my B5M lite to the track today. It was my wife's idea because its our 8yr anniversary. Anyways most of the day I kept sliding the rear around and the track was a bit loose and kept trying to figure out what needed to be done. I changed the rear hub inserts the the B inserts and ran the outside hole and moved the upper shock position to the inside. This helped a bit and the car rotated a bit better.

I was running proline ribbed fronts and holeshot rears. So I finally tried different rear tires. I used Jconcept 3D tires and wow what a difference. The car gripped perfectly in the rear. Now I have a slight on power push but it's manageable. This is only my second time out with the car and I am really impressed with it. The car is super durable to. I had a few tumbles that I thought for sure it would break but nope flipped it over and kept on going!

My T4.1 I had there and snapped the arm coming off a jump and it landed on the pipe the first few laps. Did the same with me B5M and nothing.

I run 27.5/25 or 30/27.5 depending on the conditions. But then again I will also run 32/30 if the conditions call for it.

Try different shock oils and see what works best for you. I know a guy with a 4wd SCT that runs 10 and 15 weight oils at our track. But he drills his own pistons, so that is what works for him and the way he drives.

When we are discussing Oil weights, shouldn't we also mention AE or Losi so we can get the CPS about the same? So, Losi 27.5/25 is like AE 25/22.5

I'm not sure what Cav was running, but most people with clamping front hexes are using the JConcepts front axle part# 2346

I have not for 2 reasons:

- Diffs with plastic caps tend to leak more (but ae just released an alum cap)
- Changing the fluids for tuning is more effort than I want to do. If i run faster mod motors, I might get one, just because of the high bite surface I am on. The local factory drivers run a gear diff with only 2 gears, as opposed to all 4 in the diff.

Why two gears? Less resistance or more oil capacity?

I was told less turbulence in the oil, more oil, so less hydro lock. I have not tried it yet.

Thinking of getting a Reedy Blackbox or LRP Flow Works Team?

I want to hear your experiences.

I don't want to hear about Orion or HW or any other speedo please.

Thank You!

Does anyone have a picture of this mod for the B inserts? I'm not sure since I'm new to AE.

I need to fine tune now.

Thanks!
