We had to change a lot of parts to have more performance. The key is the battery area. But maybe a "Euro Kit" conversion or something like that? Who knows?
yeah, I still have that steel template from back in the day. Personally, I feel like a conversion is the way to go, as the b5m is doing well. Package it up like tlr and move on. There are a few things I would do different, like the front hubs and how the rear arms are replaced. otherwise, the car is good. But no matter if it is a b6 or a laydown config, new stuff is always fun.

Amain has the B5 with B5M conversion kit for the same price. Tower wants $435 for it though..?

At that price, I'm seriously considering the B5 for outdoor this year.

New car will be a full Factory Team B5M with chassis drilled for the unicorn lay down transmission. Why make a B6 when the current B5 is doing REALLY well.

Ok, I have to reconsider my first thoughts on the durability of the B5m. On the first run, I broke the rear shock tower. Since then, I drove maybe 20 packs thru, including 1 race day and haven't broke a thing since then (knock on wood), and I made a lot of awful crashes.

I am new to this, is there something I need to check er redo on my B5m? Some general maintenance tips would be nice. I have no complaints so far and the car drives (thru my eyes) perfect. The only thing I do now after each (race) day is to clean it with compressed air and visual check that there are no leaks on the shocks and that I haven't broke something.

Universal...but I would recommend the X-Rings...They are smoother and last longer than the cheap red orings.

I clean and shine up the plastic with WD40 and a toothbrush. I remove the pinion and spin the drive line to check for bearings. Check shocks, remove shocks to check for anything binding in suspension. That's it.

Agree but also I always look at the shocks and think there should be an easier way to change oil so it is quicker faster. I hate taking the lower screw out because I feel it weakens the plastic so sometimes I just take off the top one and spin off the shock cap and poor out by turning car upside down . But you still have to take oil bleed screw, etc. not a huge deal but one of things that is a pain for me. If it was quicker and less oily mess I may change my oil more and have a better car in a pinch.

Also faster way to change out diff, more precise diff settings. In a perfect world.
