I sold a $600 roller for $200. Had pucks on it, so didn't want to hand it down. Too much maintenence for an 8yr old. Ohh well. Have 2 Xb2's now

I just got back into the hobby after a 2 1/2 yr hiatus. Upgraded from my Centro C4.2 to B5M just last month thinking I'll get with the times. After all it's only been 2 years on the B5 platform and hell the B4 went through 10yrs of updating.
Bummed about jumping back in 4 weeks too soon to the release of the new buggy. Anyway, I finally have my B5M dialed and love it. So much more responsive in handling compared to my C4.2. Gonna keep the B5M for a while as my fun factor level is at an all time high.

Same here. I just upgraded to the B5M Lite two months ago. Handles great and has helped me shave seconds off my lap times.

Depending on your track, I think the B5M will still be competitive for a while.

That is my feelings exactly. It's a fast and capable buggy. I really don't think 2 drivers with equal ability with one driving a B6 will be considerably faster than the one with the B5M. It's just small thorn that a totally new platform comes comes out within weeks of me getting the B5M and spending a bit on upgrades. Timing is all.

If i had to guess....the B6D will drive very similar to the B5M. The b5m was already winning everywhere....the driving force for the new platform is carpet/astro. That is where the B6 will shine over the b5m. If you are on dirt and dont have the funds to waste on a new car, run your b5m.

Me too, got the car April 8th. I was slightly miffed at first but since I would most likely have gotten the B6D, the changes aren't as drastic (it appears) compared to the B5M, whereas the B6 seems way different. I'm still learning to drive anyway so a new car at this point does nothing for me.

And if you are on real dirt, go for the B5R

Anybody running at SDRC, does the rear sway bar work? How about gull wing front arms?

I did notice that the b5m is listed as discontinued, but not the b5.
