Welcome and I would keep an eye on the for sale section, there are a lot of complete and already modded out B5Ms for a good price.

Silly question, but if I mix 25 wt oil and 30 wt oil 50:50, will it be 27.5 wt oil? I have both and want to try 27.5.

Ish... math wise yes, viscosity wise not so easy. You can try it and see if you like the desired result, or just buy a $3 bottle.

There was somewhere on here ( RCTech, not this thread) that had a link to a site that would tell you how to mix what with what to get a desired weight. Try google. Thats about all I can offer.

Thanks. Actually found the site and it says 52:48, so very close to 50:50. I couldn't find 27.5 in stock which is what got me to thinking.

Are you supposed to grease the dog bones on the diff side? The manual didn't mention it. Seems like some lube would be beneficial but I could also see it attracting dirt and causing a problem.

Not necessary as it will attract dirt. Should spin freely without any lube.

Some people use wax chain lube, as it does not attract dirt.

Thanks, I ordered a couple from SMC yesterday

What have you broken on your B5M?

I know I can't predict every failure but I'm wondering if there are any parts I should keep around to minimize down time at the track? I'm just starting to race and local shops aren't super well stocked with B5M stuff yet so I'm somewhat tied to the online shops for now.

I broke a front hinge pin holder and bulkhead from a head on collision down the front straight

Same here. Bulkhead and front shock pivot ball/eyelet were damaged after a crash (my fault though). Hinge pin was a little bent as well. Other than that I've had no other breaks.

Anyone know if Team Associated is going to release the B5M to B5MCE kit to other stores or will it just be sold through them? Thanks

Looks like Tower and AMain both carry them. Both currently out of stock though.
