We run Foams (Gone Bananas) on carpet, endless grip....run them if they are legal for your club. I had to raise the Roll Center a lot to prevent traction rolling. Been playing with front/rear ride height bias along with shorty pack position. I either have WAY too much steering on the infield or it pushes through the high speed sweepers.

Default Thrust bearing and spring removal

I needed to rebuild my diff and I was unable to get the inner most thrust washer and the spring out of the outdrive. I tried fishing it out with a small hooked scraper. Any other tips? Thanks.

Spray it with motor cleaner or carb cleaner to break down the grease that's holding it in. Let it sit for a minute, then give it a easy smack on a flat surface.
WD-40 also works...

Yes, they have a little better drive feel because the joints fit better than stock. Being a better material, they stay that way for quite a while.

Easily worth it when it comes time to replace your worn stockers.

Hey guys, I've been going through my vehicles updating every class to current gen cars and I'm finally doing 2wd Buggy. I'm currently running an RE World's Car to cover 2wd open and I'm looking at the rear motor B5. I race on an outdoor 1/10 and 1/8 track, medium grip dirt/clay mix. My concern is that the B5 was the first released and hasn't had any updates. The mm cars seem to be getting all the attention. Does anyone think (guess) that an update for the B5 is near or that they'll possibly discontinue the car altogether? The prices are really low, $209, and anyone who has driven AE cars knows what that means. Either an update or a discontinuation is looming. So would it be smart to wait a few months or take advantage of the low price on the car? I've got my hands full with a new T5M and SC5M so I'm in no rush at the moment. My Worlds Car has no problem getting me into the top 5 and its a blast to drive. I'm just leery of buying a car that's about to get cancelled or updated. I mean look at the value of the 5m factory lite kit. I would have been mad for a few minutes had I bought a 5M team car a month before the FL came out.

Any thoughts on AE blue vs Lunsford turnbuckles? I've had no issues with the set on my Factory Team 4.1 so I'll probably just go with those unless the Lunsford are that much better.

Thanks for the head's up about your kit that was for sale (I saw the edit about the sale). I like building kits so I would have passed anyway.

Even though this thread has pretty much died off, I know I will use the info for tuning and ideas.
The stock AE blue ones are good but Amain just released the new ProTek pieces that are really nice.

I guess I should clarify my concern, I'm not really talking about performance. We all know the B5 is a great car out of the box in either configuration. I'm more focused on value here. That is the foundation of my question above. Tnx

I say get it. What updates are you looking for? Associated may through in some aluminum bits but what else can be added to the rear motor car that would drastically improve the performance? Many of the super trick pieces are beyond my skill level so the current Team Kit is good for me. See my post above concerning upgrades...mostly for durability.

With the low price and coupon savings (if you're a Tower member) the deal is too good to pass up.

It's not like the B5 rear is out of date, either. You said you're killing it with the re-released kit...how old is that design? Go for it!
