one of the guys at our track runs the stock body with the fan mount waterfall and he has cut the back 3 inches or so off clear across and cut both sides out I think it looks good better than the finisher. finisher may perform well and have room but all I see when I look at mine is a Volvo station wagon. I don run that body anymore I am going to let my kid run it lol.

Can anyone tell me what 0 anti squat is used for? I'm just curious if less anti squat gives u most traction? Thanks

It can... Less anti squat will allow the rear end to "squat" down under acceleration. Its the weight shifting to the rear allows this to happen which could provide you with more traction under power..

Reducing anti-squat does 4 basic things

1) Increases rear-end squat, on-throttle (less on-throttle steering)
2) Increases weight shift to the front of the buggy, off-throttle (better off-throttle steering)
3) Reduces rear-end roll resistance, which gives more rear traction / less steering, in the corners
4) Should be more stable on a bumpy track

(edit: and technically, the buggy SHOULD jump more nose down...(I think) but I'm not typically paying attention to that when I play with A.S.)

How does a body not fit a waterfall mounted fan?
All that should be way below the transmission. Hence clearance shouldn't be an issue. I ran one and the body was nowhere near it. With the stock body though.

It's quite simple really. Since you are mounting a fan on the waterfall, the fan is going to stick out further forward than if there was no fan there. Crazy, I know. They are cab forward bodies that sweep down behind the cab, then back up over the waterfall and transmission. The Sweep body fits over the fan. Pro-line Phantom doesn't.

I have the waterfall fan brace from shapeways and both finisher and proline phantom bodies fit without the need for any modifications.

You can use the ST Racing bushing set, comes in 3 anodized colors. I love the play with the composite material though

On the weekend I noticed a lot of slop in my steering. Traced it back to the servo arm moving. Took it out and found the screw was loosened. I have a Protek aluminum servo horn and pt a washer on and some purple threadlock.

In my next race I had my fastest lap & time on that track. The next two races my pace dropped back again and noted the servo arm was a bit sloppy again.

Was it a fluke, how important is a bit of slop in steering. When I got home I ordered a star washer and will lock it down. Blue threadlock too.

I've become paranoid about steering slop and want your opinions on 3 things;

1) how important is eliminating steering slop.
2) exotek make a specific AE 10th scale aluminum arm, is it any good.
3) the jconcepts centering servo mount is this a useful bit of kit or just bling. Does the servo move with stock mounting?

The AC RC waterfall printed by shapeways or a different one? I have the AC RC mount and my Phantom doesn't come close to fitting.
