About this Product
For high grip tracks. Lowers the spur gear/slipper/topshaft/idlers to the floor. Moves the motor forward. Great for astro/carpet/high bite clay. No more grip rolls. Chassis cradle must be cut on the rear side, see pictures. Original chassis is used, no modifications needed. Factory Lite chassis can also be used. The chassis brace also serves as a 30mm fan mount. A straight brace can also be used. The motor plate comes from the Yokomo Yz-2. You can get it here: http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/yokomo-...z2-304/p417694 Jconcepts Finnisher body is needed. No spur gear cover needed. Everything is covered under the body. Shorty battery can be secured by battery stops (3x M3x8 screws and 3x M3 nuts are needed) It is a BETA version. We are still testing it, but it has been race tested and has proved to be very strong (and very fast too!!) Parts needed at shapeways are: 1.Gearbox Left 2.Gearbox Right 3.Battery Strap 4.Fan Strap or straight strap Other parts: 1. YZ-2 motor plate 2. Jconcepts Finnisher B5M body

Hey guys, stock 17.5 arrived and will be working to switch setup tonight. Quick question on final drive numbers. The motor recommends a 6 and there are always different ways to achieve that FDR.

I'm currently looking at placing a 69 spur with a 30 pinion to get 5.98. Are there any pro's and cons to alternatives? I'm guessing you dont want too high a pinion as it will place strain on the motor. Despite FDR the tooth count on spur and pinion will affect the acceleration and top speed in general and so despite the recommendation you tweek to find the best setting at the most acceptable temperature conditions.

Went with a Orion VS2 Pro 17.5 T (ORI28252) in the end to stay within the Orion stable and so I could have sensor passthrough for ESC configuration.

Set the timing to 40 degrees, and put on a 30X72. Run for 5 minutes, check temp. Keep temps under 150. If it's ice cold (it should be), go ahead and move to a 30x69.

Anyone know about how long it takes for the Associated warranty department to process a request? I had a kit that had some funky ball studs in it. Shot them an email two weeks ago, with the form and receipt but never heard anything back.
