The long and short of it is...People really need to try stuff for themselves. I converted my RM to MM, so I already had both sets of arms to play with. In either case, it is a pretty cheap thing to try out. And my home track is high bite. I race at SRS's new indoor facility. We run clay slicks and I can wheelie in 17.5

My thoughts exactly.

I have a great base setup, and the car works good.

That doesn't mean I don't change something every day at the track to see what it does. When I do, I also take notes on it so incase I need something from my base setup, I can make that change.

I have been trying to contact them for about 3-4 weeks now with no luck. I have e-mailed and called. When I called the phone rings a couple of times and usually just hangs up. I've got those bushings in some of my shocks and it makes a big difference. Bummed if they aren't making them anymore.

I got a hold of him a couple months ago. He said he was going through a divorce and was just now starting to get back into RC. So I am not sure what his status is as of today

also his FB/Rctech name is John Bolten you can try that also I guess

anyone found an alum servo horn that is a drop in. Same high, tilt etc? I have not desire to drill out the TLR horn and put a nut on it.

Flat front arms smooths out the steering and the rm rear arms give more traction.

I run this servo, I might have shaved the front of the case with an xacto a little, I have to double check, but that's not really a mod.

A few people have said it fits fine, mine didn't fit and I just had to touch up the corner of the servo slightly. You can kinda see it here:

one that fit fine here:

I took some off the servo and some off the link between servo and steering bellcrank.

Man, I'm really not liking my B5M that much right now. Something in the rear end is really wonky on all the setups I've tried and those I've come up with on my own. I'm really of the opinion that the team setups are kinda just on the edge of working right and my experience has been that if you change them much, the whole car just comes unglued. This is a rather different experience than when I had my RB6 MM which was kinda polar opposite in the fact that you could really hork the setup and it was hard to get the thing to drive horribly. The B5M just seems like all ducks have to be in a row for the thing to not be just an absolute hand full on the track. Try and change the setup even in small amounts and rear gets affected like you just threw a dart at the wall or rolled the dice.

Now, I don't want to speak bad of the platform, I'm sure I can figure it out, but I guess I'm just registering my opinion now that the team setups are just kinda far out there and going the wrong direction in my opinion. I could be wrong, I'm ready to admit that is a definite possibility, but I feel the rear end of the car is really struggling from a design perspective with the correct balance between high speed and low speed chassis roll. To me, it feels like the rear end's progression is wrong, like the thing has too much chassis roll initially, but wants it deeper in the corner. The fact that any time I put green springs on, the thing feels like instant poop instead of just a little off leads me to believe it's just sitting on the edge of the rear end working. It reminds me of when we went to the big bores on the b4 platform and the rear was just so different and broken initially until we figured it out.

I'm going to spend some serious time with geometry, rear roll center, perhaps sway bars, and shock angles. Something's funny with the platform in general IMHO.

Take it or leave it.

I think I can just make out where that wire comes out of the servo. So if i remove the bottom of the 6070 carve out a slight channel with a knife for the wire to come out I should be good.

That sounds a lot better than using a dremel, they can be bad news

This helps thanks guys, stuff got a little rough here for a few.

I will try to get some pics as I go and post them so the next guy doesn't ask.

My last build was the b44 and that was a lot easier to fit elecs into. This is tight everywhere!
