i tried the exotek tower. made the front end much too stiff, although the car felt more consistent corner to corner with it. i ended up going back to the hard tower.

back on topic.. drove my new B5m this weekend for the first time, and I think the car is pretty damn good. I could find no faults with the car anywhere except maybe the stock slipper. Seemed to be kind of crappy... might look at the avid system here pretty soon.. I was shocked at how much rear grip the car has with the box setup, and how easy it was to drive for a mid motor car.
Car was fantastic, unfortunately I wasn't. A one year hiatus from off-road driving really took it's toll on my finishing position! Excited to get more familiar with this buggy.

Yes, the car is very responsive to small changes. It lets you know right away if you have changed something in the wrong direction. It makes setting up quite a bit easier. I have had some buggies that just don't respond to changes well and it makes it hard to tell if you are helping the handling at all, or just chasing your tail.

Hey WC- headed down to TRCR for the gold cup. Could you share your full set up on here? Thanks!

Mine is box stock setup except for B5 front arms, front tower and rear arms. I am also running the aluminum front pin brace, aluminum rear ball stud mount, aluminum rear hexes, Lundsford titanium turnbuckles and blue Bar Codes front/rear, HW stock spec V3.1, Trinity D4 17.5 Maxzilla, Savox 1257tg, Futaba 4PLS.
Lot of stuff going on at home the last couple weeks so I am really glad that I will finally be able to get out and run the car.

By their nature 2wd buggies don't have a lot of on power steering. Coming from sct you're gonna have to adjust your driving more than the car.

I just looked up the kit setup because I dont recall what it was. Looks after a bunch of tuning, I am mostly kit setup lol.
- I am using the kit camber link
- white/grey front springs for high bite, green fronts for medium bite
- I am using the Avid Triad Evo Slipper instead of stock
- I am running 2 limiters front and 1 limiter rear
- 1.6 pistons all around
- 32.5/30 oils
- rear shocks in at the top
- inline esc and receiver wit the saddle pack all the way back and sideways
- and I did a few things to drop the weight to 1560. I like that car at that weight
