I wont be torn apart. I have used the turnigy packs, they are ok. But they are really coming up in price, soo...I would buy from US companies like SMC and ProMatch. If you tell me how well made the turnigy packs are, I will just laugh.

If the Turnigy was $20 or even $25 I might give it a try but they seem to lose punch much quicker than other brands. SMC and Promatch are close in price and will be a much better long term pack for you.

yep. 5mm bullets. Seems to be the trend. I just converted 2 of 3 cars to 5mm bullets. Might just do all 3 cars.

Who all is running 17.5 with their mm, and if so what esc motor and gearing are you running. I am running tekin rsx and tekin gen 2 motor. been trying to get the perfect setup as far as speed and heat. I know the MM is a bit of a challenge in stock, so i figured i would see what everyone else is running.

Have you guys popped the cups off and cleaned them out with some simple green on a q-tip? I'm pretty sure stuff gets in there and ground in/compacted.

+1 on that.

Plus have u ever tried to warranty turnigy packs? Good luck. Smc and promatch are by far the best choice. Customer service is much better. I know promatch racing sends there packs with the internal resistance test results with every pack now. Plus promatch only sells the packs that test great. Anything sub-par gets sold to local racers at a discount.

Being able to trust the packs u get are good is worth the small amount of money you save to buy from hobby king.
I also like supporting US based companies when possible. Smc and Promatch are cheaper than MOST of the other companies based out of the US.

This one is a "no brainer" in my opinion.

Hi Jim-

Schelle owns the designs and mold for the Nova Slipper Clutch. It's not a copy, we sell the parts OEM. The Schelle spur gears are a proprietary blend material sold only under our brand. The Schelle spur gears are extremely durable and many customers say it helps their car run whisper quiet. Hope this helps clear any confusion.

All packs are made in china. What is the point? Everything made in china is the same. Why buy reedy then, all reedy comes from china. The quality controls that the company ordering and distribution the product is what matters. GL with china based support

So, I originally built my car with an Airtronics 94358, RS Pro, 13.5 Gen1 Tekin, and my Futaba 603 RX. Weighed in at 1580g. So I installed my RS Gen2, Dynamite Platinum 10.5, and shortened up my wiring, hoping to ditch some unnecessary weight.
So, I weighed my car, aaandd...

1580g.

I'll see how it does outdoors tomorrow, but I'll definitely have my trusty Durango in tow, since that car is a monster outdoors.
