To free up the car's traction, gain stability in the corners & improve weight balance for better jumping & landings.

Im sorry my fault. I meant switching between two cars and being able to drive. One rear motor and one mid motor.

In most cases a mid motor car will tend to be faster as long as the traction is there. When the traction is gone the mid motor cars will be a handful and have to be "babied" around the track. When they spin or slide...it happens right now. you may not have time to correct.

Default Too Light?????????????

Anyone reduce the weight of their b5m to around 1500g? How does it handle? Been told that reducing weight of car to around 1500g affects handling and requires a whole new setup. Would like to go lighter but not if it is going to affect car in a neg way.

if I go from 1 b with the a hubs and switch to 1 b with the b hubs and drop 1 mm from the inside ball stud will it keep the rear flatter in the corners and keep about the same camber gain as the 1 b with the a hub ?thnx

Was racing on a medium to low grip outdoor track this past weekend. The car lacked forward bite when exiting corners, especially when entering the straight and trying to get on the throttle a bit harder. I laid the shocks all the way down in the rear, which helped a little. I moved the rear hubs all the way forward and that helped a little. I then decided to try the B5 RM rear arms on my B5M . . . and that helped a lot! I'd guesstimate it's like moving the rear hubs froward another 2mm. You still can't pin the throttle exiting corners, but I can certainly get on the throttle sooner and harder and the car tracked straighter.

The only complaint I have at this point is the lack of mid corner to exit steering. The car has really good entry steering. And if you charger the corner hard and let it rotate on it's own it will gain that exit steering. But if for some reason you don't maintain momentum in to the turn, it's really hard to get it to steer out of the turn.

I would like to say congrats to Mike Hudson over in Spokane.. he raced the Hank Perry Race this weekend with the b5m... was his first time driving the car .. literally as his first pack with it was in practice the day of race... He got 2 packs in of practice.. there were a bunch of team guys there and a large 2wd class...
he qualified 7th... not sure what he got in first A.. second one he finished 5th.. and after just a little more setup he won the last A main! Awesome driving.. Mike drives for team associated, airtronics and venom and jconcepts..

oh.. he also tq'd and won mod truck. great drive!

The track was a big outdoor track that was also running 1/8th elect and gas.. so was a true test showing b5m can work great outdoors too.

Oddly enough, soaking them in pee will take it off. I think it has something to do with the acids in pee.
