Bone
Yes, by grinding off the battery tray & inside legs of water fall ?
Achieves more flex just in front of the water fall ...

Idea is to get the front to flex more equally with the rear.

I had a similar incident with a steel fence pole at an outdoor regional race with my C4.2 before my B5 arrived, it wasn't pretty lol

Aah ok thanks for the reply and I've seen the pictures of your car now so I can see where you are going with it

I will no doubt curse myself by saying this but I've broken nothing. My B5r has stock plastic apart from alloy rear hangers - AE, front brace and bulkhead - alloy parts from Centro, my B5M has hard front arms, tower, steering arms, castor blocks, and alloy parts as my B5r.

The front bearings on both cars are gritty already - both have alloy hexes and my B5M was from batch 2 so not sure what's up with the bearings? Do I need the crush washer with alloy hexes?
Well with the name DWiII do you really need to ask that question??

Just round off the sharp edges till they fit properly in the shock bushings. Mine have been awesome.

now that were on the topic of shock pistons. can someone please clarify for me. "more holes=more pack"? ive been hearing to different things here locally. Ive been hearing the 3x1.4 give you more pack in the front. Now with more pack in the front your gonna lose some steering right I ask because Ive heard some say they have lost steering and other say they have gained steering. btw Im one of few at my track to have kept the gullwing arms on the car.

Debating on changing my stock shock set-up. Drove for the first time(med bite clay)and the car seemed nose high on every jump. Any suggestions on a change? Could have been me on the throttle too long also...
