What motor and gearing are people running in 17.5 blink classes? I have a tekin seems to run hot in general. I notice other motors seem to be vented better.

Have not seen any setups from Cav or Maifield. One thing that sucks is translating mod set ups to stock. When you have a 17.5 compared to a 7.5 some things work differently.

Finally finished up my buggy!

Sensor wire clip tip! This looks like it's gonna work out great, just find a piece of lexan with a 90 degree bend.

And what is a good starting point for 17.5 gearing? I'm sure if was discussed but there is so much to search though

I'm running the 25 degree bulkhead. What is the difference between the 25 and the 30? What are the handling differences?

So...I now have 3 months on this car and... I love it. I still might convert my backup car to MM for giggles, but I love love love this RM car. So planted, so plush on jump and very agile. I have 2 cars. One with alum rack, hexes, ceramic bearings, alum drive shafts, alum topshaft, hard front arms , alum shock caps and xrings. The other is a box stock car with an avid triad (they both have this) . And i turn the same lap times with both cars and they both feel great. But the only upgrade that lowered my durability was the hard arms. Do not buy these if you hit pipes or walls. I broke 2 last night and have never broken the plastic ones. But the hard arms do seem to be a little more free on the hinge pins. In short, aside from maybe the Lunsford turnbuckles, I dont think this car needs a thing for stock buggy club racing. That puts this car at the top of my list ( i have owned a few) because of the , performance, low price, high durability and local parts support. And on my medium bite indoor track, it just hugs the track. Its so planted and easy to drive, that the fun factor just goes up.

Well, I run the 30 deg on both of my cars. One of them actually has the 30 kick and 5 inserts. I liked it better... why? I dunno it felt better to me. I suggest you just try it...since you already have all of the parts. One thing I have learned in the last couple years. If you have the parts or the parts are cheap, it just best to try it. If the parts are pricey, I ask around. Since you have all the parts you need...try it. IMO the steering was better.

If anyone is running the car outdoors try taking the Ackerman spacer out to calm the steering . my local factory guy drove it before and after and noticed it calmed down the aggressive steering just a little info

ok, I am sure a fanboy will chime in, but my tekins always ran hotter than most brands. And they always felt less powerful. So less power and more heat, mean I sold them. I run reedy's mainly these days. I want to try the hacker, because many locals seem to think its godly...and my daughter likes purple, lol (for her car)

mk2rocco- i have a question for you. what kind of spektrum receiver is that? i could not fit my spektrum sr300 receiver in there EVEN with a small footprint ESC- speed passion Reventon R..
because of this i m considering buying a $9.99 orange Rx for spektrum dsm, it is considerably smaller.
