+1 especially for stock, mod you can kinda get away with it but it still sucks. I run the avid triad too.

And ya the Electrons are awesome! I would get some 2.2 clays as well they also work well when the track is dusty but its good to have both M4's and MC's.

Hello,
I've just joined the forum and im looking for some advise about "inline battery set up" for the b5m. What advantages would I gain and what would the disadvantages be handling wise?
I only race on astroturf tracks in the UK and this setup isn't that popular so there is very little information about it on the UK forums so any help/advise would be great.

Thanks Alex

A few pages back I gave a rather long post about my feeling of the inline setup from the weekend. Check it out. I added some pictures as well.

As far as the B5R arms, that I have not yet tried, although I did shorten the wheel base by moving both rear washers to the back of the blocks... it may have helped a little in forward bite once the car was straight, but didn't seem to help the "throttle loose" condition off the corner. I am not hammering the throttle either, more of a progressive pull... still seems to unhook fairly east though. I ordered the M4 Electrons, and we'll see how that works next week. Don't want to try too many things at once.
Play with your roll centers, droop and maybe even try a change of tire or insert.

Half way done with the build, so far very impressed with how easy the build is.

Hi everyone just have one question what are good tires for the B5 front?? I hear a lot of ppl running 3 o 4 ribs tires but is that the best tires for the front of a 2wd buggy. The track I run is hard pack and blue groove..

THanks

Two reasons actually....

I don't want to cut a hole in the beautiful paint, and the antenna tube is bent anyways so it looks like crap.

So I was wondering if there is any way to route the antenna to where it will still get adequate signal and be contained inside the body?

I was thinking about running it to the rear through the top center hole in the shock tower and route it right above the transmission.
This is how I did my antenna

Default wing hold down mod

Here is a nifty way to hold down your wing. I used the proline body hold down kit. I cut the nubs off the plastic wing mount and drilled it out. Then threaded th. Threaded post in put the wing on then oring then thumb screws.

The stock Plastic mounts help it flex to keep it from trashing your wing.

I actually did this on my mid motor b5 which I still have. I have sold my rear motor tho. Will work fine on the rear motor too tho.

Oh the reason i did this was it was a pain in the ass getting the body clips on with certain wings.
