I think a lot of the cracking is due to cutting the curve in the wicker instead of dremeling. atleast that's my story.

Laugh all you want it is me that did it for my wheeler wing painted it black with spray plasti dip which is also what I paint my bodies with they have a wide variety of colors. the wing last 2-3 times as long and same with the bodies if I want to change the color it peels out easy peasy and I can repaint a different color. it does add some weight as it is heavier than paint but you don't have to go real thick with it and they look pretty good and I can paint 3-4 bodies with one can so the price aint bad either.

Got some pics you can post up of wings and bodies? Would be interesting to see the look.

X2. Just picked up a Sweep body for my b5m. Sick of airbrushing. This sounds way easier.

I crash a ton, the JCs crack right at the mount, If I put the avid or exotek wing buttons or used the stock wing I would get more out of them. I always like putting a freshie on though.

There IS something nice about a freshly scuffed wing!

Plastidip is the greatest stuff ever. I am trying to find the clear to use for masking instead of liquid mask.

True...
I race approx every 2-3 weeks in stock.
Wing in the Photos are 3-4 months old.

There was a video from JConcepts about cutting wings...it mentioned about using a Dremel sanding drum to round the inner edges.
I use a bigger - 16mm drum, than on the video. I find the the larger the radius, the longer they last.

The cracks on the wing in the photos, are about 3-4 race days (including several practice days) old. I just run it like that until they get worst enough that the wing shape is no longer what it should be.

What are you mod guys running for transmissions? Is the 3 gear transmission only good for stock, or better all around?
