i tried to put a shorty servo in mine. was too much of a hassle, so I just put a full sized servo in.

Lol I ordered and fitted a 1251 in mine. Oh well it'll teach me to be cheap !
The servo squeals too much to my liking in most positions. It's lacking oomph.
Touched the EPA to about 80% and removed the blue 1mm shim so it doesn't foul the servo body. I filed a bit the aluminium servo support to clear the wires... it fits but I'm pushing my luck with it. I had a 7954sh servo in it previously but didn't like the lag (0.15s/60° on 6.0v).
Pity I shortened the wires on it can't return it... anyway I'll keep the previous servo in the pit box ready to save the day when it'll break.

Yeah I guess with the b5m you're unsafe with low profile servos .
Is a KO RsX2 response overkill ? It's going at 0.06s 17.6kg under 7.4v which at this speed and power I wouldn't risk itr with the ESC bec and go direct to the battery.

Got my car down to 1502 grams with no pucks, FYI.. But like many have mention the car has just gotten to "edgy" I think is the right term.

Think I'm going to try and go back to a standard size pack.

Car was still dialed just a little to edgy or twitch for my liking.

The RSX response is pretty much the best servo you can buy. I've got one in my SC6. Bullet proof.

FYI for everybody else, the Futaba S9551 fit with no modification. I'll post a pic if I can.

Wow I run a savox 1251 with no problems at all. 1mm spacer behind servo and 1mm spacer behind ballstud. Doesnt have any issues other than the servo wire modification which isnt a big deal in my opinion.

I just did a video interview with Kelly Lunsford today, that I will be posting on the big rc hopefully later this week.

I have known kelly for about 25 years, and can tell you that his stuff is top shelf. Most of the other brands of titanium are cheaper grade material. Kelly has stuck with the best titanium out there.

His knowledge of the industry is just unreal. Literally one of the coolest dudes in rc, Can't wait to share the video, it's gonna be a long one too!

Well my Shumachers turnbuckles (which I had on hand, same size anyway) are 2.5gr each precisely. Titanium is just under 2x lighter than steel so over 6 turnbuckles you're going to win about 7.5gr at the best.
One misconception is that titanium is tougher than steel... it is true but pretty rare : the toughest titanium alloy is tougher than poor/cheap steel alloy steel and that's about it. Titanium can only dream of reaching high tensile steel strength.
I was surprised to see that associated gave us 12.9 screw quality which gives us a strength of 1200Mpa (ultimate) at 90% (yield). Extremely High quality titanium aerospace grade alloy won't go much further than 900Mpa (ultimate). So going for Ti screws on the B5 is for the weight/corrosion resistance not the strength.

Anyway I just received the B5 gear diff and it is by a long shot the smoothest I ever had ! Even compared with my 22 and Kf who've been run and breaked in for a long time ! Very impressed . There's very little break in to do from new.

I think they have discontinued the RSX one10 Response and replaced it with the BSX2 one10 Response servo. When I went to buy another RSX one10 this is what I was told/sold anyway. Essentially the same servo but with a brushless motor; a little more torque and .01s slower than the RSX.

Yeah, the Lunsford Ti turnbuckles are about 0.6g each lighter than the standard steel RB6 turnbuckles, so 3.6g total saving. That's for the Punisher series. The 3.5mm heavy duty ones would be about as heavy as the standard steel ones.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share Jeremy Harris' ROAR Nationals winning setup. It looks pretty standard until you get to the shock package. I ran it on my car in mod and it got better and better as the track go bumpier.

check it out: http://dialedsetups.com/sheets/assoc...onals-1496.pdf

Has anyone done the mod to the caster block bushings and replaced them with bearings? Curious if it makes any noticeable improvements.

way to soft for me. 1.9 in the rear and 1.7s up front...pass. The rest of the setup look good. If i get pucks, I also plan to use the brass front suspension holder to keep weight in the back of the car.
