When I upgraded to the 3 gear a couple months ago it had a lot of play side to side of the diff, like a couple mm. So I need to shim it up. I've only run it one weekend as I've been at school and haven't been racing.

They are the ASC1733 heavy duty shims. Meant for the B44 series.

Thanks! I used to have some, but sold them all with my B44! whoops. Makes sense I couldn't find them under B5...

Yes, always run black grease.

This will work better imo....plus they come in different thicknesses. The B44 series still uses std bearings where the new stuff uses metric...its close though.

What's the most motor you can run in a 3 gear factory lite and not compromise longevity too much? Can it handle a 13.5? A 10.5?

Thanks

Turned break EPA up to 80%, and went from 1mm to 1.5mm on the front shock tower, dialed. Still needs a little work, but definitely is WAY faster then my Kyosho.

Just a little loose going into the corners, but might just be me over driving it.

Compromise the longevity of what? I'm running mine in mod class with a 7.5 and it's better then my 4 gear normal car was by far

Personally cant think of anything, beyond the chassis that is less than what is a B5M standard and would take consideration. 3 gear isn't necessarily weaker. Just don't crash, chassis will be fine.

Thanks. It's in my 9 year old daughter's car with a Reedy 17.5. She's learning control really well, and is complaining about power when we're practicing outside, but I don't want her to put it into the wall at the carpet track, so I think I'm going to make her stick with this motor.

Hi,

What are people experiences with the 91608 +4mm Arm Mount.

Is it a improvement in all track conditions, or just for high traction tracks.

MiCk B. :-)

What surface? I could imagine something like a 3.5 on carpet or asphalt would be pretty tough on the car.
