I hope that wasnt directed toward me, but to defend myself I merly pointed out what was wrong with his post and what he needed to do to fix it. the rest is up to him. Of course based on how he previously handled this he will just put me on ignore. WC, most of the time has good info just how he says it. Done!

For the past few months I have been running the mid motor, with very mixed results. Ran my friends rear motor a few nights ago and liked it much better. Am I the only one going from mid to rear? Seems like its the other way around.

I had some in for two plus months no leaks and just as smooth as the day I put them in.

I have built two rm motor cars and two mm cars never had a ballcup issue and have never popped a ballcup off while driving.

Thanks, at 10 bucks a set I was looking at doing one X ring and one O ring for club races to save a little cash. Assuming the X rings swelled as bad as the O rings

So now you're saying it's all user error and there are no defective or slightly tighter cups ever put into production kits. Based on the fact that you've built a few..

I wouldn't go that far. I can pretty much look at any setup and tell you if it will work and in what conditions. I'm always curious what others like and run. It gives me a good indication of how good they are and how good they have their car. With my experience a track as small as where you run and as much traction as you have you can get away without having that fine tuned setup.

Now this isn't directed at you George. To me setups shouldn't be all that different. A good indication of this is when you look at the setups on AE's website. These are the fastest of the fast and they slightly change. Their is a reason why. Seems most that have a setup that is completely different than what everyone else runs are people are trying to find something to compensate for lack of driving skill. Unfortunately it doesn't do any good searching for something that isn't their.

I used the traxxas blue xrings with zero issues. Like $5 to do the entire car.

yes i drive at trcr, not much different from the other tracks around here. of course its the boss..... but the clay is similar to most tracks, as its local and what we have in the ground here. and its not crazy high bite like some people think... it sucks at practice days and gets dusty and wet and we struggle.. we dont have misters or anything like that. but when its a race night and we sweep every heat and lay down rubber on it , you betcha it gets real real good.

the setup is similar to the cali setups and michaels from the jcon race with just a few differences really, nothing too drastic except b5r front arms with the midmotor front tower i guess. with these ae cars there all fairly similar setups with small differences, same basic setup geometry mostly. same with the b4 back when.

Wheel

Invite you to join me for practice at Trcr some day.

I will use tires fresh from the garbage can , you use what ever you need..

If my ride steps outside the groove?

Multi spin out fer me.
You ? Same spin even with treads.
You will discover Trcr is not easy...

I get mixed results also. I have the conversion, so I can go back to RM fairly easily. I am giving the MM a little more time. It drives well, but my consistency when I really need it, falls short. I am still learning how to push the car and keep it from stepping out. The RM much more planted in the rear and provided more confidence. I am hoping the MM is just a learning curve.

I'll try and write in a way you can relate to.

Dear George (RC Tech Pro),
I know in your mind you are always right.

The second part of my post as I said was not directed at you.

Thank you for the invite however,
if I get on a plane to go to an RC track
(which will never happen because if I am on a plane it's to a tropical island for vacation)
it wouldn't be TRCR.

Luckily I live in Southern California.
We have small size,
medium size,
large size,
extra large size,
loose bite,
medium bite,
and high bite tracks.

As gay as this sounds...
we are in the presence of RC greatness at all times which makes your thoughts and expressions quite minute.

Sorry!

Wheel

Cali has nothing on us, we work together as a team here .

We don't need to feel good about being right or boost about having better tracks.

That why its so hard to win even a club race on Friday's.

I watch the Cali boys take it well , better them most in fact.
They still lost however...
