My latest rebuild of my diff I went to ceramics. I have to say that I'm a convert. It wasn't any harder to dial in exactly the right amount of tension for the diff. Seemed as easy. I did go slow but never missed my target and had to back off or the other way around. If they do last, then I will keep using them going forward.
My first set of Ae ceramics ?
Purchase them for my B4 two years ago..
They went to my C4 ...
I just stole them from the C4 & installed in a Gt2 now.
Dang , my Gt2 has never had a smoother diff....
Can't wear the ceramic out ..

so was a little confused about the aluminum shock mounts. ive heard you need short ones and regular ones. and ive heard one or the other...so i emailed team ae and this was the response i recieved...
"Thank you for contacting customer support. You will want to get the standard ones all the way around. You will also need #91447. These are the shock bushings."
so there is your answer if you have the same question i did

ended up ordering 3 sets of ceramic balls from acer racing - $6.99 for 14. can't beat that.
With all of this diff talk.... the outdrives should be totally fine, right? not really a way those can get damaged except on the outside of em?

If just going for looks, it looks sweet, but the Schelle or Avid slipper will give better performance IMO.
They are the same as the kit shock bushings
The short mounts are intended only for the rear of the B5M. They line the shock up a little better than the tall one. No big deal really just a little better shock angle.
So, I upgraded my bearings to the new AE blue ones, but still having issues with my front left bearings going bad and not being able to tighten the wheel down to far so it can still spin. I've tried a new crush tube, but still the same issue. Any suggestions?
