5 min qual and 5 min main. That is 15. So he practices for 75 minutes of actual laps. That must be nice. I get maybe 10 minutes. So for me 90 minutes is 3 weeks of racing. Imo it does not mater how long they were run. If they are done they are done. You cant tune around done tires.

I'm not griping at you. Just the situation.
I never heard about anyone having to sauce carpet/astro tires such as Schumacher yellow minipins. All that crappy tire prepping has me put off on-road racing.
As a site note for practicing/club racing on astro, the dBoots Multibytein A compound is a great low-wear tire, I used my last set half a season. Performance is not as good as yellow Minispike2s, but its better bang for the buck. In B compound with a soft insert, it is a great rain tire.

Do people still only run 5 minute quals and mains? I guess locally we only run 6-min quals but the mains are 8 minutes normally. On light turnouts we go to 10 minutes. Fun.
But yea in the mod car i think use 4-5 batteries worth of practice at 13-15 minutes each battery. Not every person does of course. It is difficult with the newer tires to have them ready to use when needed. Only cause i don't have the time anymore. I get to show up hour and a half before qualifying. Anyway enough crying. I'd like to find a quick process for breaking these tires in.

Sorry man. I was not referring to Shumacher tires. I've never actually seen Shumacher tires.

On a different note...I got my first win in mod last weekend. Granted not all our suoer fast guys were there, but there were still fast guys there. Back and forth battle for a lot of the race. At the 7:30 mark the leader made a mistake and I inherited the lead back, and held on for the last lap and half. It was a good day. And this was my third weekend with the B5M.

Why are they running the rear camber mount upside down and shimming up 3mm? Why not flip over and only shim up 1mm?

Only thing I can think of is so they can lower it quickly without having to flip the mount
