The gland, cartridge, whatever you want to call it. Where the shock o-ring and spacers go in.
They changed the dimensions of that area on the v2 big bores, so the same red o-rings are now much tighter. The x-rings are not. In fact, the x-rings leak from the v1 big bores due to the size difference.
IMHO, it's stupid they come with the reds as they're just the wrong size now.

lol, I was just messing around. No after market company will make molded parts. This alum crap is just an "easy" way to make parts, but not always the best. AE should have made a waterfall mount to accept a fan and they should have made screw down wing mounts into the design of the car. But they didnt, so we end up with 3d printed waterfalls and aluminum wing mounts. Meh.
Wish they would date the o-rings then. I'm fairly positive mine are like b4.1 era and they work fine.

I have a couple stickers on my car, and they are needed. But I try to avoid aluminum wing mounts. They tend to stress the rear tower more and add weight up high. To each their own. I try to put upgrades on my car that address weight (less), durability or performance. The least useless item on my car is the chassis protector. But, I just like to keep dirt out of my screws and my chassis looking nice.

I don't like the idea of the aluminum wing mounts either. But I prefer securing the wing with screws and those beveled washers. Since I remove the wing quite a bit it would be nice to have a plastic mount that has metal inserts to screw into.

- Air-planes made from 7075-T6 aluminum are super fast
- Wing mounts are made from air-plane grade aluminum 7075-T6
- You dont see too many plastic planes flying around do you?
I rest my case
im going back to stock setup with mm to see how it does on our new track setup...the RM arms made my buggy a bit to twitchy on current setup.
