Any other ideas?
No one needs to polish anything...some of the cups can be slightly distorted (out of round) right from the parts tree they are molded on. A slight squeeze on the sides (with pliers) of the ball stud hole on the cup will free them right up, whether there is a ball stud in the cup or not.

Yeah, I tried that. No effect. I also tried to "stretch" the cup by manual moving it up and down to the extremes with a little pressure. I tried everything people suggested , lol. So far polishing worked best.

Kinda hoping to see Ae release their own 4 x 55 pistons..

That combination seems to be very popular .....

ill be polishing my ball studs and hinge pins this weekend to free things up. They are not bad right now but still not quite perfect. Plus it gives me a reason to mess with my car

I might make a little video showing stock ball studs, polished studs and tlr cups and studs to try and demonstrate the differences in "freeness". Not this weekend though, lol. As I am moving.

Not a bad idea. I think I will just try some polishing compound first. I'm gonna make up a threaded drill bit chuck this weekend for the ball studs, if you want I'll make you an extra one.

Lunsford ball studs are awesome. No polishing and freer than the stockers that I spent a lot of time trying to get free.

hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Let me know how much. Sure beats smashing the threads in a drill.

Lol no charge. I have to see if I have some round stock. If I do it takes all of 5 min tomake one.

I was thinking about trying those. Mainly for weight and strength. nice to know they are smoother also.

I assume you used these?

I can't believe people are complaining about having to massage some minor parts to get things freed up. The original rc 10 took about three days to remachine ALL the parts so things moved free. Wrenching is part of the hobby.

i was thinking of doing the same thing but just the ball studs. Use Flitz metal polisher and chuck it up in a drill. Spend the day polishing my balls....wait, that didn't sound right.

I imagine a 3mm threaded coupler would do the trick.
