I like the pictures Budda.

On the battery thing, charging and discharging at ridiculous levels is growing. I charge at 12 amps and my son at 10, we don't cycle, and flash charge, if we were second every race then we would . Batteries are ambient temp when the come off. People are icharging, cycling two times between quals, at 20discharge and 40charge, batteries are coming off hot, charging to 8.48 and 17.5s are tripling jumps. It is the next thing to get tech'd. Big races, one battery for the weekend then toss it. Something I want to try but hard to have my kid in range of a 40 amp charge when battery companies says injury or fatality could occur if charged above 2c level. But when your racing all weekend it is hard to pass up "the juice".

Add...Two years ago when I got into this, I remember watching videos and safety stuff on Lipos because I grew up on old stuff in my TQ10 and didn't want to burn down the house. It was about charge levels and 1c is good.....Two years later 40 amps baby to a 4100 Mah battery in a B5m at 1499 grams......with a wwee little 17.5 stocker. Funny Sh:"/$.

also, anyone who's running the reedy black box: is there a way to change drag brake without having a program box? i'm running profile 2 but wanted to decrease the drag brake a little. also is it worth buying the program box for it?

Without going through the 700+ pages here. I'm new to the off road cars have the B5M runningstock as the aassembly manual stated. Running 17.5 on highbite track need more on power steering. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I knew a guy that ran for Schurr Speed. # months later, I see a different motor in his car. I asked him why the switch from Schuur Speed. His response...."I wanted Super Speed". This was when he switched to Hacker Motors, which were very strong, but they went out of business in the US. If I can find something as fast as my Ion V4 (d3.5) and runs cool, then I am down. More than likely I will end up with a reedy in my car...Mainly because I am a fanboy. I give Reedy and AE shit, but I still prefer their product. I just think they could benfite by changing a few things. The B5M lite is a giant step in the right direction. Regardless of what Rick says though, the Reedy packs are slow. I have tested their numbers against other packs and they are just behind in battery technology.

We have done quite a bit of testing (we being the onroad crowd) and found this not to be the case. This is cycling packs, both charge and discharge, on Turbo 35s as well as iChargers. The latest Reedy packs I have are under 1.5mohm resistance on the iCharger every time and the runtime and voltage points at set discharge numbers are all on par with anything out there.

When did these 'new" reedy packs come out. I last tested them about a year ago.

The also the trinity packs are about 1.1mOhm and stay that way for a while. How good are those Reedy Packs after 6 months?

B5M factory light...wait I just built my own. Maybe, I should have waited a couple more weeks. Any idea what the price is going to be?

Also, how well do the Losi aluminum drive shafts work? Anyone have the part # for them? Running the Mip Puck stock setup in my B5M, but maybe my son's B5 could use them...

Thank you for the help

I am kinda waiting to take a look at SMC's 100c packs. But they are very slow to get packs to market.

For those that have gone to the three gear, I'm curious how much steering gets added, is it to the point where you had to do multiple changes to tone it down? Just doing some set-up theorizing while my junk is in the mail.

It's not that much and it is mainly on power steering. IMO theres really not to much you need to do but according to Kurt Wenger from Schelle the 30 degree kickup with 0 degree hub inserts helps a lot. I will be testing this tonight.

Who has tried Pro Match batteries and how does their 4800 90C battery compare to say a Trinity 100C?
