molding parts is too costly for small companies. AE should have just gone with 1 piece spindles like tlr.

Rick, honestly AE put me on my heals with this light weight car for stock. Obviously something has changed inside of AE. For the better I might add. I was referring to the lack of stock setups, Reedy tuning rotors, "certified" stock motors and etc. Reedy and AE make good stuff no doubt. And the pricing is great. And i honestly didnt expect AE to release a light weight chassis. I mean TLR did it, Kyosho did it, but still. I am not sure if this is because of the size of stock or just because the original kit was a heavy pig, lol. In any case, this new kit is a home run IMO. Racers will be a ble to add pucks and be competitive right out of the box. I am also very surprised to see the 3 gear in the kit. I mean it is brand new. I have not even run my 3 gear yet and you guys drop this kit. So I assume you guys did a lot of stock testing and the 3 gear is the defacto stock upgrade.

Thanks for the clarification, I was assuming this to be the case, but was unsure. Def have them in the cart, and will look for the hingepins when they come out.

I'm glad I chose AE as my first buggy . Don't regret a thing.

BTW, for those interested in the pros and cons of 3 vs 4 gear mid motor, here is durango's take on it:

Ok looking for a new stock spec motor for my b5m. What are your guys recommendation. Thinking the trinity d4. 1s short stack 17.5 certified? Is that a good motor. Currently still running a d3.5 track still lets me run it but if I go to trackside I can't so I swap my motor out and run mod

Decided to convert my b5 into the b5m with the conversion kit. I'm looking at Cav's setup and I see he's running -1 bump steer. Am I assuming he shaved the plastic off?

sure give that one a shot. honestly, I am in the same boat as you. I have a d3.5, but cactus is coming up and I cant run it. I am seriously thinking about just getting a trackstar motor for cactus, lol. I have a reedy I want to try this weekend, but I know it is not as good as my d3.5.
