Was just reading something like 300 pages back n have to throw my two cents in on the issue.....
Yo, mah brothas.....These cab foward bodies are downright heinous.
I don't race.....I just like building kits and playin around with rc cars......n I have an affinity for AE being I started out with an rc10 back in the 80s......

But.....these cabs are so heinous looking, unless a cab back body is available for a car by someone, I'm not even buying it.
.....n I wouldn't mind buying a b5.

I sawo someone mention how it would be cool if FTW made a blade body for the B5.....Right on mah brotha!!

I picked up a basically brand new 22 2.0 from my friend .....and the only reason it even crossed my mind to buy it is cause that ftw blade body was available. (I prefer AE)
Now I love the thing. (N it's a great kit to boot) ......n the only reason I like it the way I do is cause of the body that was available for it.
It gave me enthusiasm towards the car.

Pardon the rant.....I just feel strongly on the issue.
Who wants to buy an rc car that they can't stand the way it looks....

A pic of the 22 with the ftw blade.....I love this thing.

No comparison to this cab foward BS...
I hope they come out with something like this for AE cars so I can buy a couple.....

Again, pardon the rant.....it's just something I feel strongly about......

.....obviously it's all personal preference.

I agree its personal preference although the majority of people think the cab forward handle better (I am not good enough to really notice a difference) I think the cab forward bodies look sick, I really like the finisher and the sweep bodies. That being said it would be nice for a cab back option for people who do like that look

Been racing for over 25 years and have had just about every brand under the sun such ... In the last few years I have ran tekin, lrp, Novak, speedpassion and even some off brand stuff. I think the new reedy black box is going to be really good as well. I have not personally run orion but am sure they are solid also. I started running hobbywing because the stock ESC were such a great value and then the v3.1 just works so good for me and I really like the programming options with or without PC or even programming box. The box makes it super easy. I will never put down another brand and will not say one or the other is best but I am really happy with the hobbywing stuff and find them to be much smoother in mod compared to some of the other brands I have ran.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

The skeptic inside me looks at the shocks and tower sticking up in the air and thinks there is no way aero could be that critical with such interrupted airflow right at the front of the car. I used to hate cab forward but I guess I'm used to it now. I have settled on the Silencer and stock AE body for my B5 and B5M. My RC10 World's Car scratches my itch for regular looking cars.

I see people using the rear motor arms, can someone please explain what this does for handling?

For the ones that think cab back bodies are "fugly" , y'all are chillin'.
You got more cab foward options than to know what to do with.

It's the ones on the other side of the fence that have zero options.

I'm good to go with my classic n worlds re re's n now the 22 ......but, a few months down the line when I'm in the mood to build something, it would be nice to have a cab back option for a b5 or a b44.3.....
Zero options (in most cases) from the manufacturers and the aftermarket....it's ridiculous.

Cab back might make handling sense for mid-motor buggies, no? More down-force on the rear wheels and it could hide the spur ...

Cab forward helped steering when i had my 22. Just thought the other style was very very ugly.

Just mount a cab forward body backwards...

Even though I HATE the looks of the cab back bodies now that I've gotten used to cab forward it is kinda surprising nobody makes something at least ugly and mid cab like a stock 22-4 body.

True that.....I mean come on aero on an off road car???.Look at the Baja trophy trucks.Do they have aero bodys? I find it hard to believe that a offroad car bounceing around an off road track that aero is a big deal ......Now areo on a onroad car that's completely different..

Didn't like the cab forward at first but its growing on me.

I am also running a HW Stock Spec V3.1 in my B5m along with a Trinity D4 17.5 Maxzilla. The ESC has been flawless for me as well.

The HW v3.1 stock spec is great esc. Amain has some pretty good pricing on them with their coupons.
