I guess it went over your head, Point being evrything the pro's do people who don't have their talent will try. kinda like all the crying over cactus setups, who races a sugared outdoor track weekly???

It cracks me up that i say a guy i race with did it and liked it , and you keep saying it won't work cause sean said so...lol

And i am also racing a b5m on a low traction track, but it won't work for that either, right?
I am going with what Sean Cochran says he works for Team Associated (he took over for Mike Reedy when he retired!), and I experienced exactly what he said the problem would be with running incorrect tower/arms. If whatever setup worked for your bud, great.

Have fun with your B5m

Wildcat doesn't the HW 3.1 come with the 2 caps similar to the Orion, that you can use?
If you break open the orion caps to shrink wrap them, make sure you find a way to keep it together. They aren't soldered, or glued to anything. They are held in place by the top plastic case. So if you do shrink wrap them, make sure the pos/neg of both caps are still touching all of the metal tabs. I would suggest going with the hobbywing cap pack instead if you can verify that the specs are the same. The Orion has 2 16v 330uF caps in series.

(The orion and hobbywing cap packs are indeed the same, or very similar. I would just go for the hobbywing one instead of messing with the orion one.)

for the full size servos use another blue washer like on the servo horn.. it raises the ball stud high enough to clear the full size servos..

I use either the 1313xp or the 1015 xp servos.. both are full size..

Quick Question? Do any of you know where I could get A set of flat front arms and RM front shock tower. Its for a rear motor car but I own both. Everywhere I have looked is out of everything but a pack of screws LOL.

Agreed, it is funny when he talks about his "teammates" however the information he provides is usually right on and very helpful. If you don't like the information he is providing then don't use it

Definitely my favorite so far. Very minimalistic, very functional. I mean really, why does a carbon fiber battery strap need so called "style?" Just useless weight in my opinion. (And not as good looking)

All other things aside, I am running the V2 mainly due to weight:

Actually if you look closer at that picture you can see the plastic has been broken open and reglued, while open I did see that mine are attached to a pc board like the HW's so shrinkwraping shouldn't be an issue. I actually considered it originally, but thanks for your advice, my other two might be in that configuration.

I just let people over spend and if they ask me, I will give them feedback on the many many esc's I have bought and sold over the past 1-2 years. I have pretty much owned every major and high end budget esc. But I find most people will buy the shiny stuff or their personal brand they are loyal to.
Win some A mains beating some fast guys and people will listen. Most people do what the fast guys do. What you're leaving out or may not know is that although a handful of ESCs are made at the same place, the software can be different and that can have quite an affect on performance.

Randy, I have explained that info about software . Sure some guys copy the fast guys. Most of the long time racers get stuck on brands. I bought them all and tried them. I prefer viper myself.

I've wanted to see that weight difference, thanks. V2 getting installed tomorrow. Heck of a weight saving with the aluminum top shaft I've got in already. Thanks again...

LOL! Harbor freight scale? I have the same one. If you want a lighter slipper than that, the Avid is lighter yet and smaller diameter plates put the rotational mass towards the center reducing flywheel effect.

I don't understand why its funny having some team mates ?

I consider Scott Brown my best team mate.

With out him I would be lost, he alone has made it possible for me to at the level I am at today.

If I had a radio blow out or a Esc failure he is the first to be there for me.

That's why I have only raced Ae products for all these many years ...
The "Team" has always been there for me...

Why do you prefer VIPER, I'm just curious. I have heard alot of good things about them I just have never tried one. However, they arent much cheaper than the supposed top-shelf brands?
