you have turbulence also. Its not just flow, its the turbulent flow. meh, who cares, most people drive by feel anyway. make a change and see how it feels.

thats what im saying BY feel 1.7=37.5wt, 1.6=32.5wt, 1.4=35wt. so whats the order by feel?

If the flat arms smooth out the steering I can see that working at CC but the car is so new I would be interested to see what everyone does in 6 months on less bite tracks.

to get the same flow you need to change oil which is why if you use 1.6 in the front you run 32.5wt as a standard, if you want to run the 1.7 you end up running 37.5wt, and if you run the 1.4 pistons you run 35wt. this is because they have different pack. based off of the fluid used to get the same on track feel, i think its pretty easy to see that more than just hole volume plays a factor in pack and feel.
For those that tune other kinds of shocks, like bicycle or motorcycle dampers, pack is like high speed compression damping.

At this point, there's no reason to not try a multitude of different things on the cars. The B5M didn't look all that dialed in quite yet.

Bingo -- that's really helpful -- not enough high speed compression damping (pack) and a sharp hit will blow through your travel quickly causing bottoming out/loss of control. Too much and the shock doesn't react to quick input and you are bouncing all over the place, not utilizing enough shock travel. What's cool about mountain bike suspension is you just add or subtract air for spring rate and use a dial to adjust compression and rebound damping. Much less messy ...

On our fairly smooth indoor track I really like the 3x1.4 tapered in the front with 35wt and the 1.6 kit pistons in the back with 30wt. Kit springs with a shorty battery.

Somebody on this thread commented that the car was like a cat -- always landing on its feet. Exactly right IMO -- I thought it was marketing hype but this car really does jump and land exceptionally well.

2nd & 3rd on the grid is not bad for a new ride.

best way to explain just how good the car is ?

Have team mates who switched back from Rb6 loveN the car a lot...

Pack is the initial resistance's to movement, flow is a different force, not the same as pack.
