Same here. Lost all interest in it once I saw 5mm plugs.

I found AE does not sell one yet, only hex axle.

I would suggest just switching over to hex. You don't need as many front tires as you do rear, so it isn't as expensive to switch the fronts to hex.

What's so bad about 5mm bullets?

Pretty much ALL packs that have internal bullets use 4mm bullets.
That's why.

Exactly....but i bet we will start seeing more 5mm packs come out so in a year or so we will all be using them and 4mm packs will be the minority.

Yeah, I don't see a big deal spending $4 or something and a minute to solder on new bullets.

Maybe if you change between two different batteries often it might be a downer, but for ME, once I find what I like, I don't change it much.

In that case, spend a couple minutes and solder up an adapter.

But that's just me, I like an excuse to solder something.

yeah, the battery manufactures seem to be migrating to the 5mm bullets. Most surface area and tighter connections. A few people have tested the IR and found it to be lower also.

Awe Clayton it's only 2 connections. If u don't want to change them Jeff from promatch will likely just make u adapters if u ask. He made me adapters both ways. 4-5mm and 5-4mm. Couldn't even get him to let me pay for them either!

That's exactly what I see people do. Or they could add this to their order when getting the square if their current packs are all 4mm..

Another option is to solder 4mm female bullets into the 5mm holes and then continue using your 4mm connectors

This is what I needed to do on my 90C Aero-Model shorty

I wired up my car yesterday at the track. Didn't run it in the race but I did take a few laps in practice. The car has a little bit of push but overall I'm very impressed with the handling, jumping, and the overall build go the kit was great.

I run reedy sonic 2 17.5 and have the car geared 33/72. Shocks have 32.5wt 2x1.6t front and 30wt with 3x1.5t rear. Also have no washers on ball stud the the rear brace

One thing that happened while practicing is that the ball stud on the rear hubs needs locktight on it because it turns itself out. Or replace the ball stud with the longer one and put a nut on in.

I haven't played with timing on it yet because it was the 1st time on the track but my temp after 6 mins of light running was 120

Keep in mind I was not pushing the car to be fast
