ah ok. Yeah I did that to my gen2 esc. I personally didnt like it. Some people like them. They have nice features, but I didnt like the feel. They are really small and light weight and have the best soldering posts IMO. But I never got the feel out of them that I get from from HW, Viper or orions. I worked with tekins support (which is great) to try and tune the esc, it just never got there.

Main thing is online battery offer better handling & jumping , lighter by a 1/2 oz with out all the motor wire...

Hey WC, just wondering how different the car felt on the fresh track not having the "black groove"?

The Tekin Gen2 and the newer software is much better than the gen one stuff. my gen one stuff agree was like an on off switch. several of the guys at our local indoor drivers are using the orion stock esc, even in mod racing. Our track is not real big so the esc at $130.00 and going down to a 5.5 motor seems like a real bargain. Several of the drivers, including the sponsored drivers say all the tuning options on the high dollar orion are not worth the money on a smaller indoor track. if i was in the market for an esc the orion seems like a good buy and you can run a stock 17.5 motor down to a 5.5 mod motor if you want. Im happy with my Tekin RSX's but could have saved $100.00 with the orion stock spec.

I did switch back to 3/1 toe blocks.
It has the same grip as running the pack in the rear sideways.
Traction is very high already, 17.5 r traction rolln on the sweep.
Not me ....He !

Some are speculating the the skyrc / toro ts120,( which appears to be a hobbywing v3), is the same as the black box....time will tell. Amazing how the China mfg ripoff all ideas....

Anywho, I've got 4 of those Toro 120s running on 2wd buggy, onroad touring cars and F1. They've been all running great and I havent found a better deal than $75 each! Good price for performance. IMO

I was under the impression that hobbywing made all these ESC for other companies.. so really, they're not ripoffs because they are reselling a white labeled product to resell under a different brand.

hey vito.. actually the novak are great speed controls.. the impact is super small , light, and smooth.. plenty of adjustments and stays very cool when running.
I used to run for novak and now run for a different manufacturer but have nothing but great things to say about my experience with novak products.
