More flex potentially though.

Yeah, waiting for my conversion kit for my second B5. I would not run that CF chassis if you gave it to me. Why? simply because its flat and does not fit the side pods well. If your going to make a chassis, make new side pods to match it.

I had to look at the picture again on the facebook.

Not a perfect fit, but that's common with cottage-manufactures. Looks like he didn't curve the graphite to meet the edges of the side pods?

Good first attempt though. I'm waiting for Exotek to do one.

Nothing wrong with Carbon fiber for a chassis, it just requires a different dampening package.

I run xfactory stadium and SC trucks. The fact that u can tune the flex is a great advantage. Who cares about side pods? I wouldn't care if my car was shaped like a brick or even a dog Turd. As long as it performs well.

All this hub talk got to me...

So tonight I soup up my plastic hubs.
Used a longer 8mm ball stud & included a motor washer under the stud with a nut on the back side for max strength.

Cus who likes breaking hubs, right ??

Hi WC, do you have a copy of the rest of your set up? Is this run with a shorty across the rear? I run on a bumpy track will the 4 hole pistons work better on this than a 2 hole setup?

So, I ran my B5M for the first time yesterday.
Car is absolutely dialed! It pushes just a little bit, but holy crap this car is awesome. I even did a half assed job building the shocks.

setup still under construction...

I run on smooth indoor clay, med high traction.

The 4 hole pistons are for improved cornering, they don't really improve performance on jumps or bumps .

With the new aluminum hub, you might want to replace the ball stud every so often. I had similar hubs on my old B4 and had a ball stud break off and I couldn't get the lock tite threaded part out.

You mentioned the B5M stall a while back, what have you done to remedy that?
