I am keeping one of my B5ms for my 11 year old to race. The latest and greatest wont help her and she cares less about a b6d. I was able to sell my b5m for a very good price right before the announcement.

Although it wont make me any faster, the car looks like it might be easier to work on and it will be new and shiny. The b6 comes pretty decked out. So I am not sure you will see a more decked out version. It had the alum shock standoffs, cf towers, alum C-block, v2 shafts, xrings, alum f/r hexes and a lite weight chassis. Will AE make other more upgrades? Sure. Will they release a car with every alum upgrade...maybe, but that might be more than 1 year away. Or never.

But you are correct, by sepetember you will be able to buy used cars with more upgrades for a good price. That has always been the case with these cars. A buddy just sold a tlr 3.0 with titanium parts, a clear body, tires and little bling tid bits for 275 shipped. And his car was only run 2 race days. if that.

The B6 will have slop too. Too tight of tolerances will allow even dirt to cause binding. It's just a matter of functionality.
And a twitchy car

A Ballstud broke off in my rear ballstud/camber mount. All the hobby shop had was the exotek rear mount. It looks like it has a - 2mm and a 0mm option but it isn't labeled. I just added an extra 2mm shim on each side but I was hoping someone here may know what the measurements are for sure? The amain description says it offers the stock Heights but side by side it is definitely off. Any input?

So, the friend of mine wants to whats it gonna be:

Should I buy a 2nd B5M CE (unbuild)? Would cost 210$ incl. shipping. I have no actual use for it at the moment BUT:
I tried ray mundays setup for the "B5R" kinda track and it worked awesome. So I am thinking of getting one dirt-B5M and one carpet-B5M.
I am not into racing, so it would be just for fun.

I am kind of linking the challenge to make the B5M "better" on low dirt as the B5R

If you are set on having two separate cars I would get the rear motor b5 for your low traction dirt for more rear bite.
Or get a b5m and just have different shock packages and setups for each track and save yourself some money.

I think I "need" a B5M for carpet action. I tried the B5R but no chance I can even keep up with a friend driving the B5M..He has so much more steering

But jea...it seems like 2 sets of the same car is a stupid idea
