In the second picture the left servo mount screw is enlarged and it appears to be from photoshop. The holes missing in the rear could easily be covered up with ps. its looking YZ-2 ish to me

Im sure there will be a dirt specific car. I'm sure that will be shown soon.

I'm curious to how the battery is held down. The strap has what appears to be stops at the back but the front doesn't. Plus the battery strap is screwed down. I'm sure this new system is an answer to the team servo taping the battery down.

If you look where the screws are on the side rails there's actually about 8 holes on each side allowing it to move forward and back. Battery probably sits in perfect so no foam spacers are needed and you just take out the screws and move to another hole for a more forward or rearward postion. Those stops you see are probably to adjust if batteries are different widths but the front has solid mounts and you just butt the battery into them???

Two cars? you guys crack me up!

One car! that's all!

Car on the left has holes in the chassis near the spur, car on the right doesn't have these holes.

No time for B5M talk on this thread! There's no time for that, B6 speculation only!

I just don't see a totally new platform. This is going to be an addition to the B5 family. It looks like it uses a lot of common parts. My guess is B5C or B5MC. It would be sheer lunacy to retire a very successful platform after only a couple of years.

Racer,

If there are two cars coming, should we split into two threads or just have one?

No, but I have a couple of guest rooms and/or a Toy Hauler you can bunk in. If you come on a Friday you could race SCVRC or HotRod Friday, Coyote Saturday, a and CCR club race on Sunday. Risky these days. Wait a month and come out for the JBRL. Club racing has been feast or famine lately.

Man, I can't believe it. I went through all the links that people pm'd me. How could they be coming out with a B6 already? I'd understand if the B5 series wasn't their best one yet. The B4 was around forever. Is AE really scared of all the competition? I still see people doing ok with b4.2s and centros. I'm going to remain in denial.

I'm not racer, but I'm pretty damn close to an admin here, soI'll make the call.

Keep it as one thread like the sworkz and the Xb2 thread. It works just fine.

You are not Racer nor are you any where near an admin. Based on the fact we haven't seen both cars yet and I, personally don't see the huge difference other than a lay down transmission, I would wait for one of the higher level mods to respond.
