Kody recommends soaking the x-rings in oil for about an hour before building the shocks. Or for as long as can while doing the rebuilds.

On new V2 gearbox 91552 do old top shafts work?

just need new size bearings and good to go?

for the updated gear box you use the 5x10 top shaft bearing and you need the new top shaft as well.

You can use the existing steel top shaft with the new V2 case, but you would need to use a 6x10x4mm bearing - they aren't a common size but there are a few companies that make them out there.

6x10(31404) is a common size for 8th scale off-road cars' steering post bearings I think...if that's the size needed.

This V2 case(91522), is this to be able to use the 3-gear aluminum top shaft?

This is so you can use the same top shaft when transitioning between the 3 and 4 gear. The newer cases also seem to mesh the gears together a little bit better.

Ah, ok. Nice. After I tried the 3-gear this weekend I was looking and wondering what do I do with this nice aluminum shaft now. LOL.

What is holding the motor wires together in the center? Is it just a piece of shrink tubing? I am working on installing the wiring on my new B5M and like how the wires are held together.

I have a couple b5 lite clones but I wonder how the real car is out of the box. Anybody have one yet? I'm curious. Its hard to keep up with this thread. I mention that in case I missed something.

I used some 1/2" heat shrink for mine.

As far as I know it hasn't shipped yet.
